How do I create an event?

Yes! You can create up to 2 ticket types per event — for example, Early Bird and Standard. Each type has its own price, quantity limit, and optional dynamic pricing rules.

How does the cashless system work?

Attendees top up a digital wallet (minimum EUR 10) before or during the event. At your food or drink stalls, your staff scans their QR code and enters the amount — the payment is instant and fully tracked.

Do I need special hardware for cashless payments?

No hardware needed at all. Your staff uses the free QRPay staff app on any smartphone to scan and charge. No card terminals, no rented equipment.

When do I receive my money?

Your payout is processed automatically after the event ends. You'll receive the total revenue minus commissions directly to your bank account (IBAN) — no manual steps needed.

How do I buy tickets?

Go to the event page, choose your ticket(s), and pay securely online — card, Bancontact, iDEAL, or bank transfer, powered by Mollie. You'll receive a confirmation email with your QR code straight away.

Can I get a refund or transfer my ticket?

Refund policies are set by the organizer. If refunds are enabled, you can request one through your profile. You can also transfer your ticket to a friend — up to 1 transfer per ticket, as long as the event sales are still open.

How does the cashless wallet work?

Top up your wallet online before the event (minimum EUR 10). At the event, show your QR code to staff to pay at stalls. Any unspent balance stays in your wallet and can be used at future events on QRPay.events.

How do I get my unspent wallet balance back?

You can request a refund of your remaining balance at any time from your profile. A EUR 1 processing fee applies per refund.

What if my phone battery dies at the event?

Ask a friend to cover you and pay them back in cash, or bring a portable charger! Your QR code refreshes every 30 seconds so it's always up to date. Pro tip: turn up your screen brightness before showing it to staff.

Does my wallet balance expire?

Accepted Answer

No, your wallet balance never expires! Your balance is tied to your QRPay account, not a specific event, so you can use it at any future QRPay event. That said, we're not a bank — if we notice your account has been inactive for a very long time, we may reach out to check in. You can also request a refund of your remaining balance at any time (a small €1 processing fee applies).

Do I need to print my ticket?

No printing needed! Just show your QR code on your phone screen at the entrance. Staff will scan it with the QRPay app in seconds. Make sure your screen brightness is all the way up.

What if my QR code doesn't scan?

No worries — staff can also look you up manually by searching your name or email in the app. Every entry attempt is logged, so there's no risk of losing your spot.

Can I change my language?

Yes! Go to your profile settings and switch between French, English, and Dutch. All emails and push notifications will follow your preferred language.

Can I delete my personal data?

You can request anonymization of your personal data from your profile page (GDPR). Your transaction history is preserved for legal reasons but will no longer be linked to your identity.
